14th place in Zagreb

It’s amazing how missing a couple races can make you feel like a rookie again when you get back in the start gate. I really didn’t know what to expect in my first race back after my sprained ankle but my goal was a top 15. Therefor I’m pretty happy with a 14th place in a race where the conditions were super challenging to say the least. I skied awesome for most of each run but I definitely felt that I had lost a bit of the stamina in my legs after sitting on the sidelines for almost 3 weeks. If you watched you could tell I didn’t really have much power left on the last pitch. But that will get better with each day I ski now. As for the race as a whole, if you ever get a chance to come see this race it’s worth it. The fans here are so incredibly load and cheer for everyone. When Kostelic was coming down 2nd run it was insane how loud it got. Holly hell ski racing is cool when it’s an atmosphere like it was tonight. Getting on a plane tomorrow morning and flying over to Adelboden, Switzlerland. It’s my favourite stop on the circuit, I love that hill and the another place that has unreal fans and atmosphere.
